Endless possibilities at your disposal has always been a part of what the LittleBigPlanet series has been about. A 2-dimensional sidescrolling platformer, with heavy amounts of tool for creating the looks of Sackboy (our main character) and his levels. With each installment into the series more and more tools are introduced that makes both the players and creators feel a sense of freshness in each play through. This entry is no exception to the LittleBigPlanet formula. Of course if you’re not familiar with this formula there is more to this series than just creating levels and costumes and sharing it to the world via the Playstation Network.

As always there’s a single player campaign filled with levels in varying difficulty and the goal is always the same, get to the end of the level without loosing all your lives. Though the hook with LittleBigPlanet has always been about creativity and sharing said creativity with the world, the platforming that Tersier Studios has given players matches up to how the original game by Media Module plays. Even the areas where the touch screen panels are needed don’t distract from the overall LittleBigPlanet experience. It plays how it should, and evolves it without making LBP just another tired copy-and-paste affair.

Online is still as heavy as ever, with more options than ever before. The create portal includes touch screen controls, camera, gyroscope and you’re looking into interesting there have been cross-controller DLC announced. Many options either through DLC, or even needed to unlocked there is tools for all style of creation big or small. Though the options to create regular levels isn’t the only tools at the player’s fingers.

The player can even create app-based games as well, another new way to create portal for LBP. If you’re not-in-the-know, this is where players can create games that are the length of a regular game you could download either on your Apple or Android phone devices. Yes even you sitting on the couch can be the next Ravio creating Angry Bird Spring Edition, or Angry Birds – Bird’s Retirement. With all the possibilities for creation portal, awesome online community and a great single player this is definitely the best offering so far on the PS Vita…at least until Soul Sacrifice comes out next year.
